About Me

My name is Erin Wood and I am from "outside of Philly." Yes, I'm sure you've heard that a lot coming from Penn Staters. To clarify where this mysterious "outside of Philly" really is, I'll tell you that I live in a relatively small town called Doylestown where our favorite thing to do is get fro-yo on the weekends. I come from a family of five wonderful people, with my mom and dad, and my two brothers, one older and one younger. Growing up as the only girl definitely had its perks as I never had to share clothes or even a room, so coming to Penn State and sharing a room was and still is a big adjustment. However, I find myself being very flexible and accommodating my new roomie's lifestyle.

I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason"and I try to be open-minded when introduced to a new things. I often use cliches to describe experiences in my life and thank God for all the blessings I have in my life. I am relatively easy to please, small things make me the happiest, and I laugh at almost anything (usually very loud and cackle-ish).

I am heavily addicted to bad reality shows such as "The Bachelorette" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." I was into sports in high school, mainly field hockey and a few years of track. I cannot live without Oreos and can eat just about anything in the junk food category. I love dressing up, however, you will probably not see me dressed up for class because I am a serious night owl and have a hard time functioning in the morning. My favorite month of the year is April. Why? Because it was the month I arrived into this world, of course! But seriously, I love the spring time for many reasons; the weather begins to change, summer is near, and I can stow away the Uggs and bring out the Sperry's. You may often find me dancing around in my dorm singing along to Katy Perry, although not very well. However, I am not ashamed of my lack of talent in that realm of life and know that I excel in other categories.

I make to-do lists like it's my job and try to be very organized. I am not completely sure what I want to accomplish in my life yet, so that's one of the reasons I attended Penn State; hoping that being a part of DUS will help me figure out my path in life.

I am easy to get along with and look forward to giving you more insight into who I am as a writer, person, and Penn Stater.
